Lead Generation Through Social Media

Lead generation has always been the backbone of any type of business that wants to make profits online. The word itself defines the process by which you capture potential clients or consumers that can turn into actual sales. Lead generation is defined as the procedure on how you create a list of possible customers through different means. There are several methods used for lead generation ranging from offline to online.

Definition: unlike a regular landing page that serves only as a warm up before an act like sale, the so-called lead generation lead page is employed to gather personal details and set up connection points with prospective customers to generate as many leads or prospects as possible. These are acquired through different strategies such as pay per click, referrals, paid inclusion, surveys, viral marketing, and other forms of channels. One of the most common ways in which you can get leads is by writing e-guests columns, providing free tips and tricks, and asking your current and former subscribers to provide you with their contacts. This will allow you to build a database of leads that you can later use in various ways.

Techniques: There are many ways through which you can get targeted leads. If you want people who will be interested in your services, products, and/or those of your affiliates, then you should focus on article marketing, pay per click advertising, and cold calling. You should also try to get as many people as possible to your landing pages. Cold calling is a great way of acquiring leads since it targets people who already have an interest and are interested in what you are offering. A good landing page will have a couple of things. The first thing is that it should not have any personal information on it such as names and addresses of the visitors. It should only contain information that is pertinent to the offer that the visitor clicked on.

The second thing on the page is what is called a squeeze page. This is a page that will lead visitors to your opt-in form for your list or to your social media profiles. These social media profiles are what you will use to communicate with your subscribers. On the landing pages for your social media profiles, you will include a link to subscribe to your updates and/or newsletters.

All of the above mentioned techniques can help you generate leads, but there are still some other things that you can do. You should make sure that the landing pages that you have created are easy to read and navigate. Make sure that they are well-designed and that they are not stuffed full of keywords. Avoid using words such as “free”, “discounts”, “coupon”, “buy now”, etc.
